Nepal Army has finished opening the tracks for a temporary alternative route to the section of the Arniko Highway buried by 2 August’s landslide at Jure, Sindhupalcok.
Approximately 2.8km of the route was newly opened tracks, while an existing road 3.5 southwards from Barabise was upgraded. Work has also begun on two causeways that lie where the track goes through Tauthali and Didi rivers.
The army made 3 blasts on Wednesday to increase the outflow of Bhotekosi. When the last measurements were made on Wednesday, the inflow was 191 cusecs and outflow 238 cusecs.
